WHY PLY?
Records are very heavy and plywood is very strong. Its cross-laminated structure means it won’t sag under the weight of all those albums. We only use the highest grade of plywood, so it’ll look and feel beautiful whether you go for birch, oak, walnut or cherry.
WHAT’S FORESSO?
Foresso is a sustainable timber terrazzo made from offcuts from the timber industry. It’s set in a bio-resin which polishes up beautifully. It comes in several colours and timbers.
WHAT’S VALCHROMAT?
As an alternative to plywood, we use a colourful sheet material called Valchromat. It’s organically dyed all the way through so it can be sculpted and shaped into tactile curves. It is strong and resistant to warping, non-toxic and good from a sustainability point of view because it’s made from waste from the timber industry.
It also comes in black, cream white, green, yellow, red, orange and grey.
